UMI Makassar – The chairman of the Association of Higher Education Computer Science Indonesia (APTIKOM) Center, Prof Ir Zainal Arifin Hasibuan MLS Ph.D. hopes students and graduates of Faculty of Computer Science to create and innovate by incorporating local moral values in digital form, Wednesday, 14 December 2016.

It aims to convey the values and local wisdom to the younger generation or the millennial generation who prefer to play with the smartphone.

“We have much local knowledge through folklore submitted by our parents, but we have to disseminate it to the millennial generation who enjoy playing smartphone,” said Prof Zainal challenges students and undergraduate of Faculty of Computer Science.

By spreading the folklore in digital form that can be accessed via a smartphone can read the millennial generation is expected that a moral message contained therein is also up.

For that universities must provide a certificate of competency as a companion letter diplomas to the graduates so that when they finished with a degree and a certificate of competence.

“It is still in the stage of socialization, so we hope that the awareness of universities and companies that do not accept computer science graduates who do not have a certificate of competence,” said Prof Zainal.

On occasion, Prof Zainal also inaugurated the board APTIKOM Sulsel in the Auditorium of Al -Jibra, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI).

The inauguration is coupled with the annual activities of the Faculty of Computer Science (FIKOM) UMI with the theme of the challenge of the graduates of informatics in the era of globalization.
