The guest lecture, held by the undergraduate of Nursing Study Program and Nurse Professional Program of UMI, invited the Head of the Nursing Masters Study Program of Diponegoro University, Dr. Meidiana Dwidiyanti, S.Kp., M.Sc.

The activity attended by students of FKM UMI raised a theme “Spiritual Aspects in Holistic Nursing”.

In his presentation, the head of Nursing Study Program of FKM UMI Wa Ode Sri Asnaniar, S.Kep., Ns., M. Kes said that the guest lecture is an annual program that was held offline before the pandemic.

“However, because of the pandemic, we held it online. The Nursing and Nurse Professionals Undergraduate Program are eminent programs at UMI with the vision of producing nurses with Islamic insight, “said Wa Ode Sri Asnaniar.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FKM UMI Dr. Suharni A. Fachrin, S. Pd., M.Kes in his speech explained that the essence of this activity is to add insights and exchange ideas by inviting capable and qualified speakers.

“This is also an event to build friendship and cooperation between two universities, UMI and Diponegoro University,” said Suharni.

Suharni argues that in today’s nursing conception it is necessary to emphasize the spiritual-based healing model as an effort to encourage patient healing.

“This theme is very interesting and embodies the vision and mission of the study program. We all know that UMI is an educational and da’wah institution that so far we have seen as the uniqueness of UMI by Delivering Islamic values through education, especially in nursing, choosing specialties such as holistic nursing, “she said.

The guest lecture was started with the display profile video and a number of achievements of FKM UMI.
