Health & Dakwah
The third charitable efforts pillar of the Board of UMI Foundation (YW-UMI) is the pillar of health and religious proselytizing (Dakwah) by fostering Ibn Sina Hospital of YW-UMI. This hospital is one of the supporting infrastructures within the scope of UMI. It also serves as a teaching hospital for health professionals from various fields of health education at UMI (Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Public Health). Besides, Ibn Sina Hospital also serves the general public, because it has the facilities and ability to organize various types of specialist services and subspecialist.
Ibn Sina Hospital is a Private General Hospital, formerly named “45” Hospital. On June 16th, 2003 had been submitted from Andi Sose ownership to YW-UMI, signed by the Chairman of Andi Sose Foundation, Dr. Hc.Andi Sose and the Chairman of YW-UMI the late Prof. Dr. H. Abdurahman A. Basalamah, SE.M.Si. Under the new ownership rights to YW-UMI converted into “Ibn Sina” Hospital of YW-UMI.
The hospital located in area 18. 008 m2 with the wide of the building 12 025 M2. The address is on Jl.Urip Sumohardjo KM5 Makassar, and it has had a Certificate of Hospital Accreditation No. YM.01.10/III/1879/09, the certificate was awarded in recognition that the hospital has met the standard of hospital services that include: Management Administration, Medical Services, Emergency Services, Nursing Services, Medical Fellow and accreditation status of “Full Basic level.”
Moreover, now it has been established to the type of Ibn Sina Hospital by the Decree of Minister of Health Affairs of Republic of Indonesia No: 993/MENKES/SK/XI/2009 about Ibn Sina Hospital of YW-UMI Makassar, defined as a private general hospital with a classification of Class B (Type B).
