UMI Makassar – In 2016, the Office of International Affairs of Universitas Muslim Indonesia (KUI UMI) regained the trust of the Ministry of Research and Technology & Higher Education for a grant for Institutional Strengthening of the International Affairs Office (PKKUI). These grants received by KUI UMI for the second time.

For 2016 grant, three activities are approved for funding under the Grant of PKKUI namely capacity building workshop, dialogue consortium and summer programs.

To account for the implementation of the grant, the head KUI UMI Ir. Hj. Setyawati Yani, ST MT IPM Ph.D., along with Dr. Hj Nurjannah ABNA, SS, M. PD as the team do a final presentation in front of the assessment team from the Higher Education @Hom Hotel located in Yogyakarta on December 22, 2016.

This event was opened by the Head of Cooperation Sub of Directorate of Higher Education Dr. Purwanto Mangkusubroto.

In the report, Setyawati explained that all programs had been implemented well in the period from September to December 2016. The activities are designed to enhance the institutional capacity of KUI in the internationalization of the institution (UMI) is run well and attended by speakers who are highly experienced in the field, thus providing benefits to participants from various institutions both from within and outside the country.

In 2016 PKKUI activities, KUI UMI partnered with the University of Brawijaya (UB) Malang.

Dr. Hj Nurjannah ABNA, SS, M. PD, the head of Public Relations of UMI, also attended the presentation PKKUI 2016. She adds that the success of the activities PKKUI 2016 thanks to the full support of the Board of Wakaf UMI Foundation, Rector, Institutes, Faculties and head of Study Programs. It is as well as the entire academic community of UMI in an attempt to achieve the vision of UMI become a world-class university which is Excellence, Quality, and Islamic.
