UMI Makassar – Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) reaffirms its commitment to increase its active role in the development of Engineering Human Resources (HR). The commitment to support human resource development and research and business incubators of vehicle industry.
This is conveyed by the UMI when ordered to bring the material in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the second floor of Garuda Hall Ministry of Industry, Jakarta, Tuesday (29/11).
Before the FGD, the Ministry of Industry together with four other Ministries, the Ministry of Labor, Ministry Education, and Culture, the Ministry of State Enterprises, the Ministry of Research and Higher Education signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU signing is witnessed by the Coordinator Minister of Culture Development Puan Maharani, the Coordinator Ministry of Economy, Darmin Nasution to develop competency-based vocational education and rural vehicle.
The Ministers who signed the MoU, among others; Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartanto; Labor Minister, Hanif Dhakiri; Minister of State Entreprises, Rini Sumarno, the Education Minister, Muhajir Effendy; The Minister of Research & Higher Education, M Nasir.
The activity is also attended by 21 rectors of universities in Indonesia, Indonesian Automotive Institute, Director of the petrochemical, automotive company directors in GAIKINDO leaders, heads of vocational and community colleges, and the associated development of rural vehicle industry.
Rector of UMI, Prof Masrurah Mokhtar MA as one of the rectors who signed the MoU is accompanied by Dean of FTI UMI, Ir Zakir Sabara MT ASEAN IPM Eng; Head of Public Relations UMI Dr. Nurjannah; and Secretary of Professional Engineers FTI UMI, Ir Taufik Nur MT ASEAN IPM Eng.
Participated with the Rector of UMI signed MoU are Rector of ITB, Prof. Kadarsyah, Rector of Andalas Padang, Rector of UI, Rector of ITS, Rector of ITB, Rector of UGM and several renowned campuses in Indonesia.
