UMI Staff Are Trained To Be Da’i & Da’iah

UMI Makassar – Dai / Da’iah Training for Employees of UMI takes place in the Hall of Prof.Dr.Hj.Masrurah Mokhtar, M.A (6/12). Presented Vice Rector IV UMI for Dakwah Development and Islamic Campus (WR IV), KH.M.Zein Irwanto, S, M.A, Chairman of LPDKI UMI Dr.H.M.Ishaq Samad, M.A and 40 employees of UMI.

Vice Rector  IV UMI Drs.KH.M.Zein Irwanto, M.A stated that there might be a question from the participants is what the relation between staff and preachers. Why do employees need training of preachers? WR IV UMI answered it by himself by suggesting the answer is in the statute of UMI that UMI is an institution of education and religious proselytizing (dakwah).

“Preaching is very spacious, serve people properly and advised the students, it is all religious proselytizing (dakwah). It said that UMI is like a plane, the front wheels is educational institutions, and the rear wheel is a religious proselytizing (dakwah) institution. In another hand, the pilot is  Chairman of the Board of UMI Foundation, and co-pilot is Rector of UMI, lecturers, and staff are it, stewardesses.

Chairman of Institute of Dakwah Development & Islamic Campus (LPDKI) UMI, Dr.HM.Ishaq Samad, M.A stated the participants are employees of UMI as a delegate of faculties and units within the scope of UMI. The goal is to give provisions of preaching skills for employees of UMI, to realize the vision and mission of UMI as educational and religious proselytizing (dakwah) institutions. All participants are given materials on the practical preaching techniques, prepare materials lecture/sermon, preaching method of Al-Qur’an, along with games, quizzes, and simulations.
